Building Credibility and Brand Recognition at Medical Conferences
Swing Therapeutics is an early-stage start-up that creates evidence-based digital treatments to help people with chronic conditions live their best lives.
As a newcomer in the healthcare space, Swing Therapeutics needed to establish credibility with healthcare providers and build brand recognition. Medical conferences became a key opportunity to share clinical evidence, introduce its digital therapeutic app and virtual clinic, and begin building trust through in-person engagement.
Challenge
As a brand-new company entering the healthcare space, Swing Therapeutics needed to establish credibility and create awareness with healthcare providers. My challenge was to make three related brands, Swing Therapeutics, Stanza, and Swing Care, work together as a cohesive in-person presence while clearly communicating distinct offerings within tight budget and timeline constraints.
Approach
I took a strategic, minimalist approach to designing Swing Therapeutics’ conference presence, focusing on clarity, cohesion, and flexibility. The booth was designed as a modular system that allowed the two offerings to stand on their own while feeling unified under the parent brand.
To stay within budget and move quickly, I limited the number of physical elements and prioritized reusable assets that could be tested, refined, and adapted for future events. This approach supported experimentation while ensuring the booth felt professional, credible, and aligned with the brand.
Banners and Table
This modular booth brought Swing Therapeutics’ ecosystem to life through two complementary banners for Swing Care and Stanza, anchored by a branded table. Designed for an early-stage startup, the system intentionally used a minimal set of elements to keep costs low while testing whether medical conferences were a viable channel. Each banner clearly communicated a distinct offering while working together as a cohesive, credible presence.
White Paper
The white paper translated clinical research into a clear, accessible format for healthcare providers. Designed to support in-person conversations at medical conferences, it reinforced Swing Therapeutics’ evidence-based approach and gave clinicians a tangible resource to reference after the event.
Rack Cards
Two rack cards were designed to support quick, clear conversations at the booth, one for Swing Care, the fibromyalgia-focused clinic, and one for Stanza, the digital therapeutic app. Each card highlighted a distinct offering while maintaining visual consistency, giving healthcare providers an easy takeaway to reference after the conference.
Business Cards
The business cards extended Swing Therapeutics’ visual identity into a tangible touchpoint for in-person networking. Attention to layout, legibility, and print quality ensured the cards felt professional, credible, and aligned with the brand, supporting follow-up after conference conversations.
